Kalamazoo College's Greg Kearns was named MIAA Special Teams Player of the Week on Tuesday for his performance in the Hornets' 24-7 victory over Oberlin.
Kearns connected on a 25-yard field goal for the Hornets in the third quarter to extend Kalamazoo's lead to 17-0. Kearns was also a perfect 3-for-3 on extra point attempts.
This week's accolade marks the second time Kearns has been honored with the award in his career as the primary place kicker for the Hornets.
Kalamazoo will be back in action this Saturday, Sept. 8 when it plays host to Greenville at 4 p.m.
