KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Jake Osen of the Kalamazoo College football team was honored on Tuesday as the ALC Hornet of the Week.
Osen, a sophomore from Livonia, Mich. (Churchill HS), came up big for the Hornets in their season finale on Saturday. His nine tackles led the team in loss to Trine. Osen also intercepted his second pass of the season and was in on a fumble recovery in the third quarter.
Along with this honor from the Kalamazoo College Athletic Leadership Council, Osen was also named to the All-MIAA Second Team on Tuesday. His successful season at defensive back was huge for the Hornets as he led the team in interceptions (2) and pass breakups (10). Osen also ended the year in a tie for second in tackles with 60.
Osen and the Hornets wrapped up their season on Saturday with a 7-3 record. The seven wins were the most for the program since 1962.
