Lucas Hanifan of the Kalamazoo College football team was named the SAAC Men's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday (Nov. 7).
Kalamazoo traveled to Greenville in non-conference action on Nov. 3 and defeated the Panthers 33-23.
Hanifan amassed a career-high 151 yards on five catches, averaging 30.2 yards per catch. His touchdown reception came in the second quarter on a 27-yard strike to give the Hornets a 14-13 lead. Hanifan also had a career-long 64-yard catch in the fourth quarter that set up Ian Burr's 23-yard field goal, giving Kalamazoo a 33-23 lead. In his second season at Kalamazoo, Hanifan leads the team with 42 catches, 704 yards, six touchdowns, 4.7 catches per game, 78.2 yards per game, and 16.8 yards per catch.
The Hornets will travel to Trine in MIAA action to finish the regular season on Saturday (Nov. 11).
