KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team took the home court against Adrian College Wednesday evening inside Anderson Athletic Center as the Bulldogs came away with a 100-63 win.

After a back and forth game in the early minutes with Kalamazoo taking a 9-8 lead on a Josh Whitney layup, Adrian took the lead with 15:48 remaining in the first half and never looked back.

Kalamazoo found itself down just 8 with 8:21 before halftime, but a quick 10-0 run for Adrian over the next four minutes of play propelled the Bulldogs to a 51-30 halftime lead.

Much of the same transpired in the second half as Kalamazoo was held to just 28.1 percent shooting by the Bulldogs defense in the final 20 minutes of play.

Adrian shot 50.8 percent from the field in the contest throughout its entirety while Kalamazoo shot 39.6 percent. The Hornets did shoot 41.7 percent from behind the three point line.

Tommy Cerven led the way offensively for the Hornets scoring 15 points, a season-high. Wednesday marks the third straight game in which Cerven has scored in double figures.

Chase Baysdell recorded 13 points to go along with three assists and three rebounds.

Josh Whitney ended the day with eight points while Jimmy Paprocki provided good life off the bench scoring six points with two rebounds and two assists.

The Hornets are back at on Saturday when they travel to Alma College for a 3 p.m. tip.

In the team's previous contest, the Scots just scooted by the Hornets with an 86-85 overtime win.
