KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Tanner Blyly of the Kalamazoo College men's basketball team was named the Hornet of the Week by the Kalamazoo College Athletic Leadership Council (ALC).
Blyly, a junior from Three Rivers, Mich. (Three Rivers HS), averaged 14.5 points, 4.5 assists, and four rebounds in Kalamazoo's two games against Lawrence Tech and Centre.
Through five games this season, Blyly is averaging 16.4 points per game; up from 9.5 points last season. The guard is also averaging 4.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.2 steals in 28.8 minutes per game.
Blyly currently sits tied for second in the MIAA in steals per game and fifth in assists.
Kalamazoo (2-3) returns to play on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Bluffton. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
