Men's Basketball Falls at Bluffton

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team dropped its game against Bluffton on Wednesday evening by a score of 95-92. 

The Hornets took a 47-41 lead into the break as Tre Humes poured on 19 first half points. Kalamazoo was 17-32 (53.1%) from the field as it seemed to find the shooting form it had early in the season. 

Kalamazoo stayed in form in the second half, but Bluffton outscored the Hornets 54-45 as it went 16-20 from the free throw line in the period. 

The Hornets ended the night shooting 58.3 percent (35-60) from the field and connected on 43.8 percent (7-16) of their three point attempts. 

Jarnard Smith had another strong scoring night as he tallied 22 points in the game with 16 of them coming in the second half. 

Humes ended with 21 total points. Jeremiah Vincent and Ben Reiter each added 14 for Kalamazoo. 

Merritt Hamann led the team with eight rebounds.

The Hornets return home to the Anderson Athletic Center on Saturday, Dec. 1 as they host Chicago at 1 p.m.
