KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team fell 65-62 at home to Albion on Wednesday evening.
It was a back-and-forth contest this evening as the Hornets and Britons changed leads seven times and saw a tied score 12 times throughout the game.
Neither team got out to more than an eight point lead in the game. The games largest lead came with 12:05 left in the second half. Albion's largest lead was by six with 6:13 remaining in the first half.
The teams played to a 28-28 tie in the first half and took that score to the break.
Kalamazoo and Albion continued to share baskets in the second half and took a 65-65 score into the final possession. Albion's Jamezell Davis Jr. connected on a three-pointer with just one second remaining on the clock to put the game away.
Jeremiah Vincent led all scorers with 20 points on seven of 14 shooting. He also collected a team-high eight rebounds.
Ben Reiter added 13 points. Drake Thompson scored 12 points with 10 coming in the first half.
The Hornets return to action on Saturday, Feb. 9 when they host Calvin at 3 p.m.
