KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Ben Reiter of the Kalamazoo College men's basketball team was honored by the MIAA on Tuesday as a Second Team All-Conference honoree.

Reiter, a junior forward from Rochester, Mich. (Stoney Creek HS), started all 14 MIAA games for Kalamazoo. In his 27.9 minutes per game, the junior averaged 16.0 points in conference games. He also averaged 14.5 points per game overall on the season.

Reiter finished MIAA play shooting 45.0 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from beyond the three-point arc. He connected on 49 of 61 (80.3 percent) free throw attempts.

The junior forward also averaged 3.9 rebounds per game from his wing position.

"We are incredibly proud of Ben and his accomplishments this season," Head Coach Jay Smith said. "His work ethic and leadership were valuable to our young team. The trust we have in Ben is high and we look forward to his senior season and the future of not just him, but our entire program."

Reiter was selected as the MIAA Player of the Week once this season along with being named ALC Hornet of the Week three different times.

The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team finished its season with a 7-18 record overall and went 4-10 in MIAA play. The team will return next season at full strength as it had zero seniors on the roster.
