OLIVET, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's golf team sits in third place after day one of the Lou Collins Memorial Tournament held at Bedford Valley Country Club. Four Hornet golfers combined to shoot 302. As a team, K is just four shots behind the leader, Owens Community College.

"This was a great start to our season," said Kalamazoo Head Coach Mitch Wilson. "The team has really come together quickly this fall."

Junior Scott Manski and sophomore Agron Ziberi turned in scorecards of 75. A pair of freshmen, Jack Fowler and David Smith, each shot rounds of 76.

"This is one of the best team scores we've had at Kalamazoo in quite some time," said Wilson, who is in his second year as head coach of the Hornets. "We're looking forward to tomorrow's round and the beginning of the MIAA fall season."
