BATTLE CREEK - The Kalamazoo College men's golf team finished fourth at the MIAA Jamboree hosted by Olivet at Bedford Valley Golf Club on Wednesday.
Kalamazoo shot 314 as a team, one stroke ahead of Trine. The Hornets trailed Adrian by four strokes (310) for third place. Hope won the event (301) while Calvin finished second (309).
David Smith and Agron Ziberi each shot 77 to tie for seventh place overall. Tibin John shot a 78.
"It was great to see the back end of the lineup come through today," said Kalamazoo Head Coach Mitch Wilson. "Agron and Tibin played solid all day."
Will Reichle finished with an 82 while Scott Manski came in at 83.
The Hornets return to action on Saturday, Sept. 21 with an MIAA Jamboree hosted by Alma at Pine River. The Hornets host an MIAA Jamboree at Kalamazoo Country Club on Monday, Sept. 23.
"We keep trending in the right direction," Wilson added. "We're looking forward to the trip up to Alma on Saturday followed by our home tournament on Monday."
