OLIVET, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's golf team is in eighth place after the first round at the Lou Collins Memorial hosted by Olivet College on Friday. Fourteen four-year schools are competing in the two-day event.
Kalamazoo shot 311 on the opening day. Calvin led the field with a team score of 300.
Phil Ritchie led Kalamazoo with a 74 on Friday. David Smith (78) and Scott Manski (78) were not far behind.
Agron Ziberi rounded out the top four with an 82.
The event at Bedford Valley concludes Saturday.
