GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's golf team shot 324 during the first of three rounds to determine the MIAA qualifier to the NCAA III Championships. This is the first year Kalamazoo has qualified as one of the four teams to compete in the spring.
Kalamazoo had the fourth best score on Saturday, just five strokes behind Trine for third place.
Nick Ludka shot a 74 to lead Kalamazoo and finish third overall.
Travis Veenhuis tied for fourth overall with a 75.
Riley Boyd shot an 85 while Nick Marsh rounded out the top four with a 90.
The second and third rounds take place April 29-30 at Wuskowhan in West Olive, Mich.
