OLIVET, Mich. – After holding a slim first place lead at the conclusion of day one of the Lou Collins Memorial Tournament, the Kalamazoo College men's golf team finished third overall as the tournament concluded Saturday afternoon.
The Hornets shot a combined score of 300 on day two and 590 between the two days.
After leading the Hornets on day one, Nick Ludka once again posted the lowest score for the Hornets on day two with another one-under 71. Phil Ritchie shot the second lowest score with a three-over 75.
Rounding out the top four were David Smith and Travis Veenhuis who each shot a 77.
The Hornets will begin the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association season on Sept. 10 as Trine University hosts the first of four MIAA Jamborees.
