WEST OLIVE, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's golf team finished third in the three round MIAA Spring Qualifying Tournament. The winner of the event earns the league's automatic bid to the NCAA III Championships.
Kalamazoo finished third on Saturday with a round of 303.
Phil Ritchie led Kalamazoo with a 70 on Saturday, followed by David Smith (76), Nick Ludka (78) and Travis Veenhuis (79).
Hope won the tournament with a three round score of 866. Calvin was second (871), Kalamazoo third (910) and Trine fourth (933).
This was the second consecutive year the Hornets qualified for the spring tournament. Kalamazoo finished fourth last season.
