Men's Golf Second After Opening Round at MIAA Fall Tournament

WYOMING, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's golf team shot a season-best 285 to earn a second place spot at the end of the first day of the MIAA Fall Tournament at L.E. Kaufman Golf Course.

The Hornets are just one stroke out of first place behind ninth-ranked Hope's 284.

Kalamazoo's 285 is also the second-best score in school history, just two strokes off the school record (283) set in 2017.

Nick Ludka led the Hornets with his second conecutive round of 69 to finish second overall on Friday.

Travis Veenhuis tied for seventh with a 71 while Jackson Jones tied for tenth at 72. Parker Pickell came in at 73. 

Saturday's final round is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
