KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Kalamazoo College's Nick Ludka was honored as the Player of the Week by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
Ludka, a senior from Saginaw, Mich. (Nouvel Catholic HS), began the week by helping the Hornets earn a tie for second place finish at the Knight Invite as he finished second on the team with a 78. Ludka followed this performance by earning medalist honors at the first round of the MIAA Spring Qualifier over the weekend at 2-under 70. Ludka owned the lowest score of the afternoon.
This is the second time Ludka has been named Player of the Week this season. Ludka also earned All-MIAA First Team recognition following the fall season.
The final two rounds of the MIAA Qualifier are scheduled for April 26 and 27 at Wuskowhan Players Club in West Olive, Mich., just north of Holland. The team with the lowest score after three rounds advances to the NCAA III Championships.
