KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Nick Ludka of the Kalamazoo College men's golf team was named Player of the Week by the MIAA on Monday afternoon.
Ludka, a senior from Saginaw, Mich. (Nouvel Catholic), earned overall medalist honors at the MIAA Spring Qualifying Tournament. Ludka finished the three day tournament with a score of 214 which is an average of just over 71.
The Hornets finished the tournament at 906, just six shots behind Hope College for first place. The second place finish was Kalamazoo's best finish ever at the spring qualifier. Kalamazoo finished fourth in the MIAA this past fall.
Ludka finished his senior season with a scoring average of 74.1 overall and averaged 70.8 in MIAA contests.
This is the third time this season Ludka has been honored by the MIAA and second week in a row. Ludka also earned All-MIAA First Team recognition twice in his career.
