MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The first season in program history continues to move in the right direction for the Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team.

The Hornets pulled out a 5-4 win on the road Wednesday evening on the campus of the Milwaukee School of Engineering after trailing by a goal in the fourth quarter.

Trailing 2-0 entering the second quarter of play, Grady Schneider got K back on track scoring a goal just 36 seconds into the second quarter.  Just over four minutes later Zach Morales leveled the score at 2-2 and the teams ended all square at the half.

After the Hornets took a 3-2 lead late in the third quarter on another Morales goal, Milwaukee regained the lead on back-to-back goals with 10:50 remaining in the fourth.

But the young Hornet squad had an answer.

Clapton Marquis tied the game up with 7:15 remaining and Alex McDonnell scored the game winner with 2:33 remaining moving Kalamazoo to 3-1 on the season.

Morales assisted on each of the Hornets' goals in the final quarter of play.

In goal, Michael Dutcher stopped eight shots and the Hornets picked up 31 ground balls compared to Milwaukee's 29.

Kalamazoo will look to ride its momentum into its first home game in program history this Saturday, March 26 at MacKenzie Field. Faceoff is scheduled for noon.
