KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team began Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association action Saturday afternoon against Albion College. The Britons defeated the Hornets, 11-3.

After Albion took a 1-0 lead, Nick Swain got the Hornets on the board and tied this up with 6:26 remaining in the first.

The Britons hit their stride, though, throughout the rest of the first half going on a 5-1 run to end the half.

Zach Morales scored late in the third quarter for the Hornets cutting the deficit to 7-3 but that's as close as K would get to completing a comeback.

Also scoring for K was Alex McDonell with 10:22 remaining in the second quarter.

Michael Dutcher made 11 saves for the Hornets in the loss.

Albion held a 47-34 advantage in ground balls.

Kalamazoo will look to bounce back in MIAA play on April 12 when they travel to Trine University.
