Men's Lacrosse falls at Trine

ANGOLA, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team looked to pick up its first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association win Tuesday evening but the Hornets were unable to do so as Trine defeated Kalamazoo, 14-5.

The Hornets struck first on a goal from Brett Fitzgerald at the 13:47 mark of the first quarter, but Trine scored the next nine goals putting the game out of reach.

Kalamazoo looked to get back into the game scoring three straight of its own, but the Thunder continued to apply pressure scoring the next five.

Leading the way offensively for K was Fitzgerald with three goals.

Zach Morales scored the Hornets' other two goals.

The Hornets were successful on 22-of-24 clear attempts.

Kalamazoo will look to earn its first conference win this Saturday at Hope.
