KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team honored its lone senior Tuesday evening before the team's final home game of the 2016 season, but the Hornets were unable to make the night extra special and come away with a win.

The visitors from Adrian College defeated Kalamazoo, 8-3.

After a scoreless first quarter, Adrian notched two goals in the second quarter to take a 2-0 lead into the half.

The Bulldogs tacked on three more to begin the third quarter, but Kalamazoo threatened to come back as Hans Wieland and Kellen Radulski closed out the third quarter with goals for the Hornets making the score 5-2.

That's as close as Kalamazoo would get, though. Adrian used a 3-0 run to begin the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Brett Fitzgerald added a goal with 1:59 remaining. Zach Morales was credited with the assist.

Despite the result, Kalamazoo outshot the Bulldogs, 30-26, and committed one fewer turnover.

The inaugural men's lacrosse season will conclude this Saturday when Kalamazoo travels to Calvin College for a 1 p.m. faceoff.
