KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College Athletic Leadership Council announced Tuesday that Dylan McGorisk of the men's lacrosse team was selected as Hornet of the Week.
McGorisk, a freshman from Wixom, Mich. (Walled Lake Western HS), had seven points in Kalamazoo's win over Dubuque last week. His four goals and three assists were both team highs. McGorisk also had tying and go-ahead goals in the contest.
McGorisk's 11 goals on the season are good for second on the team behind fellow freshman Jack Loveland. The Hornet freshmen also rank first and second in the MIAA in goals scored among teams that have played just four games.
Kalamazoo's 4-0 record on the young season tie the school record for most wins in a season.
The Hornets will travel out east to play Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday, March 27 at 5 p.m.
