Men's Lacrosse Beaten by Alma

ALMA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team dropped its game Saturday afternoon at Alma by a final score of 22-9.

The host Alma Scots opened the game with three goals in the first two minutes. Kalamazoo tallied the nest two goals, but were unable to take a lead. Alma took a 15-5 lead into the halftime break. 

The Scots outscored Kalamazoo 7-4 in the second half to secure a 22-9 victory. 

Kalamazoo was outshot 51-43 in the contest and 30-27 in shots on goal. The Hornets had a 43-38 advantage in ground balls. 

Brandon Wright led Kalamazoo with four goals and seven ground balls. 

Jack Smith and Dylan McGorisk each scored two goals. Smith added one assist while McGorisk tallied two. 

Zach Morales collected a team-high seven ground balls. 

Kalamazoo returns to action Tuesday, April 9 as it hosts Calvin at 7 p.m.
