KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Jake Nugent of the Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team was named SAAC Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.
Nugent, a junior from Belding, Mich., led the Hornets in Saturday's season opener against Calvin with two goals. The midfielder won in nine of his fifteen face-offs (60 percent) and collected a team-high six ground balls. He earned an assist off a goal from Jack Smith in the third quarter of the contest.
The men's lacrosse team returns to play on Friday, March 12 for its home opener against Trine at 7 p.m.
