Men's Lacrosse Defeated by Albion

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team was defeated 27-5 by Albion College Wednesday evening.

Albion and Kalamazoo traded the first two goals to open the game, but then the Britons scored 23 straight goals. Albion had a 4-1 after the first quarter, a 13-1 lead at halftime, and then a 24-2 lead at the end of the third quarter. The Hornets scored the last goal of the third to end the run by the Britons. Both teams then scored three times in the fourth quarter.

Albion outshot Kalamazoo 62-35 in the game, 42-20 on goal.

Grayson Pratt scored two goals on three shot attempts. 

Cam VanGalder, Mitchel VanGalder, and Ethan Huebsch also scored goals, while Vincent Tremonti and Vincent Tran collected an assist.

Logan Gillis and Jack Bungart led the Hornets with five ground balls. Bungart and James Dailey finished with three caused turnovers.

In net, Dylan Wickey finished with 10 saves, Eric Paternoster had three, and Kiah Holdsworth collected two.

Kalamazoo finishes the regular season with a road game at Trine on Saturday, April 29, at 1 p.m.
