KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team was defeated 17-8 by Adrian College at home on Wednesday.
Kalamazoo scored the first goal of the game but Adrian led 4-1 with 4:00 left in the first. Kalamazoo made it 4-2 but trailed 5-2 at the end of the quarter.
Adrian scored the first three goals of the second quarter and led 10-4 going into halftime.
The Bulldogs scored the first three goals of the third and led 14-5 after three. Adrian went ahead 17-5 in the fourth before three late Hornet goals made it a 17-8 final.
Adrian outshot Kalamazoo 45-32, 26-21 on goal. Kalamazoo won 15 of the 28 faceoffs.
Jake Asnis led the Hornets with two goals.
Max Plesscher scored a goal and had an assist. Logan Gillis had two assists.
Kalamazoo returns to action on Saturday, April 20, at Hope.
