Hornets fall to Rose-Hulman 2-0

Cal Kirchen heading a soccer ball.

The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team was defeated 2-0 by Rose-Hulman on Saturday evening. It's both the first loss and the first road loss of the year for the Hornets who are now 1-1 this season.

Junior Nicholas Shabino was a bright spot for Kalamazoo offensively as he had four shots on goal, but unfortunately none of them found the back of the net.

Rose-Hulman wasn't incredibly active offensively. They only had three shots on goal, but capitalized on two of them to seal the shutout. Kalamazoo had four times the number of shots on goal (12) than Rose-Hulman, but still came up empty in the contest.

The Hornets will look to get back above .500 next Saturday when they take on Chicago at home. The men will be at home for their next four games.
