The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team tied Adrian College 1-1 in its conference opener on Wednesday night. The Hornets are now 2-2-2 this season and 0-0-1 in conference play.
Kalamazoo was on the attack for most of the night, and scored the game's first goal in 48th minute when Noah Bushaw connected off a pass from Jacob Waier. The Hornets were almost able to hold onto the lead until the end of the game, but unfortunately gave up a game-tying goal in the 87th minute.
Kalamazoo had many more attempts at scoring than Adrian did throughout all of regulation and both overtimes. The Hornets outshot the Bulldogs 26-12 but weren't able to find the back of the net and regain the lead.
Kalamazoo will continue its conference play Saturday, Sept. 20th on the road against Calvin.
