The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team fell to Albion College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association match Saturday afternoon at MacKenzie Field, 2-1.
Albion struck first early in the fourth minute when Bobby Budlong placed a ball in the bottom corner giving the Britons a 1-0.
Kalamazoo responded quickly, though.
In the 15th minute Cal Kirchen scored for the Hornets off a corner kick from Kyle Hernandez. It was Kirchen's third of the season.
With under a minute to play in the first half, Kalamazoo's Matthew Fitz was sent off, forcing the Hornets to play the rest of the game with 10 men.
Albion was able to break through against K's 10 men in the 72nd minute taking a final lead of 2-1.
The Hornets will look to rebound next Tuesday, Sept. 22 when they travel to Trine University for a 4 p.m. match.
