The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team picked up a 2-1 overtime win in the waning seconds of the first overtime at Albion College Wednesday afternoon.

After K went up 1-0 in the first half on Cal Kirchen's 10th goal of the season, Albion drew even with the Hornets off a penalty kick early in the second half.

Remaining scoreless throughout the rest of regulation, Kalamazoo picked up the final goal they needed to head home with three points courtesy of Matthew Fitz. With 10 seconds remaining, Kyle Hernandez settled a ball on the right side of the field and served in a cross that Fitz headed past the Albion goalkeeper.

Kalamazoo looked to be the deserving side in the match, carrying playing and outshooting the Britons 22-5.

With the win, K improves to 8-4-1 overall and 7-2-0 in the MIAA. The Hornets will host Trine University this Saturday at noon.
