KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer game against Hope College was suspended due to lightning with just over 21 minutes remaning in regulation. NCAA rules stipulate that this match is considered a "no contest".
A "no contest" does not count, and all normal statistics are nullified; however, cautions or ejections occurring in a "no contest" shall be subject to the procedures stated in NCAA Rules 12.4, 12.5, 12.7 and 12.8.
Once it is determined if and when the game will be replayed it will be added to the schedules of both teams.
Kalamazoo was leading 1-0 at the time of suspension. Nick Kraeuter scored in the 32nd minute (Jonathan Nord assist).
The game was originally delayed for over an hour with approximately 31 minutes left in regulation. The game restarted and then was forced to suspend with just over 21 minutes remaning in regulation.
