ALMA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team shut out Alma 1-0 to pick up another MIAA victory on Saturday afternoon.

Despite featuring 32 total shots, the game only had one goal, courtesy of Kalamazoo's Ryan Melgar. Melgar, who led the Hornets with five shots, headed in the game winner for K off of a cross from Ben Meschke. The goal was Melgar's fourth game winner, and fifth overall, on the season as he leads the team in both categories. Tim Jeske and Jacob Lopez Pink each chipped in three shots for the Hornets as well.

Griffin Hamel made four saves in goal to earn the shutout for K.

Kalamazoo will kick off a four game home stand on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. against Trine at MacKenzie Field.
