Men's Soccer Draws with Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw at Adrian College on Tuesday evening to move its record to 6-1-2 on the season.

The Hornets got on the board first in this contest as Ben Meschke found the back of the net for the seventh time this season. Aidan Hurley assisted on the play. 

After more than 0 minutes of scoreless action, Adrian converted on a goal by Dylan Wismont to even the score at one apiece. 

The teams maintained the tie score into the second overtime. In the final minute of play, Kalamazoo was whistled for a foul in the box which led to a penalty kick for the host Bulldogs. Sophomore goalie Luke Kastran stepped up for the Hornets in a big way making the save to salvage the draw. 

Kalamazoo outshot Adrain 11-10, but the Bulldogs had a 7-5 advantage in shots on goal. 

Kastran made six saves for the Hornets. 

Kalamazoo returns to action for its second MIAA contest on Saturday, Oct. 12 when it hosts Hope College at 5 p.m.
