Men's Soccer Beaten by Hope

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer was defeated by Hope in a match Saturday evening by a final score of 1-0. 

The two teams played to a 0-0 draw into the halftime break before Hope was able to find the back of the net for the lone goal of the match in the 68th minute. Alec Belcastro connected on a Logan Bylsma assist on the play. 

The Hornets outshot the Dutch 14-8 throughout the game, but Hope held a 3-2 advantage in shots on goal. Ben Meschke and Aidan Hurley each got a shot on target for Kalamazoo. 

Luke Kastran started in goal for the Hornets and made two saves. 

Kalamazoo returns to play on Wednesday, Oct. 16 as it hosts Trine at 7 p.m.
