Men's Swimming & Diving in first place after second day of MIAA Championships

The Kalamazoo College men's swimming and diving team is in first place following the second day of competition at the MIAA Championships at Jenison High School.

Kalamazoo has 299 points, 80 ahead of Calvin.

Kalamazoo opened the night with a first place finish in the 200 free relay with a "B" time of 1:22.48 (Shearer, Simic, Benmark, Armstrong).

Kevin Ewing took first place in the 200 IM with a "B" time and personal best 1:53.35.

Will Guedes also took home a championship with a score of 514.25 in the 1M dive. Elliot Littman finished second with a score of 399.65.

Alex Armstrong finished second in the 50 freestyle with a time of :21.04 while Dylan Shearer followed in third place (:21.06).

Michael Allen had a great swim in the 500 freestyle to finish third (4:39.38). 

The meet resumes Friday with prelims at 10 a.m. and finals at 5:30 p.m. at Jenison High School. The meet runs through Saturday.
