Men's Swimming & Diving wins third straight MIAA championship

The Kalamazoo College men's swimming and diving team wrapped up its third consecutive MIAA championship on Saturday at Jenison High School.

Kalamazoo scored 895.5 points overall, over 200 more than Calvin in second place with 666 points.

Dylan Shearer won the 200 Breaststroke with a "B" time of 2:03.28 on Saturday. Jacob Lindquist finished second with a "B" time of 2:03.95.

Tyler Fisher won the 200 Butterfly with a "B" time of 1:53.73. Tyler McFarland finished third with a time of 1:55.56. Kalamazoo also took fourth (Reid Carlson) and fifth (Christopher Lueck) in the event.

Kevin Ewing tied for the league championship in the 200 Backstroke with a "B" time of 1:51.53.

Alex Armstrong finished second in the 100 Freestyle (:46.53) while Tyler Benmark finished third (:46.89).

The 400 Free Relay team finished third with a time of 3:06.77 (Benmark, Simic, Lindquist, Armstrong).
