Men's Swimming & Diving wins two events on Thursday at MIAA Championships

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's swimming and diving team is in second place after the second day of competition at the MIAA Championships. Calvin leads the event with 302 points while Kalamazoo has 251. Albion is in third at 212 with Hope in fourth at 191.

Kalamazoo's men's 200 Free Relay (Dylan Shearer, Jake Lindquist, Josh Claassens, Cam Wasko) won the opening event of the night with a time of 1:23.41.

Dylan Shearer finished second in the 50 Freestyle with a time of :21.16. Kalamazoo had six swimmers in the finals of this event. Shearer posted the fastest 50 free time of the meet at :20.93 in prelims earlier in the day.

Will Guedes won the 1-meter diving event for the second time in his career with a score of 519.25.

Kalamazoo closed out the night by finishing second in the 400 Free Relay (Cam Wasko, Jake Lindquist, Jacob Wasko, Dylan Shearer) with a time of 3:25.04.

The championship meet continues Friday and Saturday.
