Men's Swimming & Diving: Friday at MIAA Championships

HOLLAND, Mich. - Friday marked the third of four nights at the 2019 MIAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

The 200 medley relay (Shaker, Anger, Orwin, Stille) finished third with a time of 1:34.30.

Matt Howrey also finished third in the 400 IM with a time of 4:03.78.

Other top finishers for the Hornets on Friday included:
4th - Sharif Shaker, 100 backstroke - :52.15
5th - Sharif Shaker, 100 butterfly - :51.03
6th - Grant Anger, 100 breaststroke - :59.16
7th - Tejas Vettukattil, 3M diving - 277.35
8th - Simon Li, 3M diving - 240.05
8th - Michael Orwin, 100 butterfly - :52.11

The Kalamazoo College men are currently in fourth place, just five points out of third.

The championships continue through Saturday with swimming prelims each morning at 10 a.m. and finals in the evening at 5:30 p.m.
