Men's Swimming & Diving Fourth After First Day at MIAA Championships

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's swimming and diving team is in fourth place after the first day of competition at the MIAA Championships at Calvin.

Sam Ankley had the best finish for the Hornets on Thursday coming in second in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 461.40.

Matt Howrey finished fifth in the 200 Breaststroke (2:07.68) and seventh in the 200 IM (1:58.28).

The 400 Medley Relay team of August Thielking, Matt Howrey, Max Ambs, and Andre Fouque finished fifth (3:38.06).

The championship meet is scheduled to conclude on Saturday at Calvin.
