Men's Tennis falls 9-0 at Swarthmore

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 match to Swarthmore College Wednesday, March 26. 

Both first and third doubles flights for Kalamazoo fell 8-3. Senior Peter Rothstein and sophomore Robert Hudson lost to Anthony Collard and Thomas Vernier at first doubles while senior Mike Korn and junior David DeSimone fell to Harrison Lands and Irving Stone at third doubles. 

The closest singles match came at second singles. Rothstein won the first set 6-3 but lost the final two 6-3, 6-2. The other five singles flights were two set victories for Swarthmore.

"We played three good matches against three great opponents," Kalamazoo Head Coach Mark Riley said. "We are looking forward to returning home and opening up conference play."

Kalamazoo opens up Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) play March 29 at home against Trine.
