Men's Tennis falls to Western Michigan 9-0

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Western Michigan (WMU) at Stowe Stadium Thursday, April 10.

Kalamazoo lost all three doubles flights with the closest match being at third doubles. Senior Mike Korn and freshman Alberto Ayala fell to Matt Hamilton and Michael Treis 8-5. WMU took first and second doubles 8-2 and 8-3 respectively.

Two of the six singles flights were competitive. Freshman Branden Metzler lost his first singles match 6-3, 7-6(3). Korn dropped third singles 6-4, 7-5.

"Branden [Metzler] and Mike [Korn] did a great job," Kalamazoo Head Coach Mark Riley said. "WMU is a good team. This match will help us going forward."

Kalamazoo will take to the road Saturday, April 12 for a match against Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.). The match is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Valley, Wisc.
