Men's Tennis earns ITA All-Academic Award

The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team garnered honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Monday, July 14. The Hornets earned the All-Academic Team Award. The award is given out to teams with a cumulative 3.2 grade point average or above.

In addition to the team award, several members of the 2014 team earned individual honors. Mike Korn, Peter Rothstein, Alan Faber, David DeSimone and Eric De Witt were named ITA Scholar Athletes. To earn this honor, individuals needed to achieve a 3.5 grade point average or better while also earning a varsity letter.

During the 2013-14 season, Kalamazoo won its 76th consecutive Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) championship and advanced to the second round of the NCAA III Men's Tennis Championships.
