KALAMAZOO, MI - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team defeated Ohio Wesleyan 8-1 on Sunday afternoon. The Hornets are now 1-1 overall this season.
Branden Metzler and Elan Dantus jump started the Hornets in No.2 doubles by finishing first with a score of 8-3. Robert Hudson and David DeSimone followed with a doubles victory shortly after.
The Hornets then swept the Battling Bishops in singles 6-0. No.23 regionally ranked sophomore Branden Metzler finished first in singles 6-2, 6-4. Only one of the six matches went to a third set and in No. 6 singles Elan Dantus swept his opponent for the only sweep of the day.
Men's tennis plays again Saturday, Feb. 14 against the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh.
