KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team completed an undefeated MIAA season with a win over Hope College in the Markin Center on Wednesday.
After securing at least a share of its 77th consecutive conference championship last Saturday at Adrian, Kalamazoo clinched the title outright with tonight's win.
David DeSimone and Elan Dantus got things started in a hurry with an 8-0 win at two doubles. Eric De Witt and Spencer Navarre followed with an 8-3 win at three. Branden Metzler and Robert Hudson completed the sweep with an 8-3 win at one doubles.
DeSimone's strong play continued with a 6-0, 6-1 win at two singles. De Witt clinched the team win with a 6-0, 6-1 win at four.
Metzler made it 6-0 Kalamazoo with a 6-4, 6-2 win at one singles while Hudon won 6-2, 6-4 at three singles.
Guillermo Dominguez won 6-2, 6-1 at five singles while Kyle Hahn completed the sweep with a 6-3, 6-1 win at six singles.
Kalamazoo finishes the regular season with a record of 13-6 overall and 6-0 in the MIAA.
