KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team lost 5-4 to No. 26 Wisconsin-Whitewater on Saturday.
The visiting Warhawks won two of the three doubles matches before winning three singles matches to earn the team win.
Robert Hudson and Eric De Witt won 8-5 at three doubles. Branden Metzler and Elan Dantus were edged 9-7 at one doubles by the No. 7 team in the country (Jake Humphreys/Michael Treis).
De Witt won 6-2, 6-3 at four singles while No. 18 Metzler won 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 at one singles over No. 20 Humphreys.
Whitewater clinched with a win at five singles before Allen Vinson won 7-6(9), 6-4 at six singles.
Kalamazoo (2-1) returns to action at home against Carthage College next Saturday, Feb. 20 at 9 a.m.
