ATLANTA, Ga. – The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team improved to 3-0 on its spring break trip to the southern United States Tuesday afternoon as the Hornets dropped Oglethorpe University, 7-2.

Starting off the day with an 8-5 win for the Hornets were Robert Hudson and Eric De Witt at two doubles.

Branden Metzler and Elan Dantus also picked up a doubles victory, winning 9-8 (4) at one doubles, giving K a 2-1 advantage heading into singles.

It didn't take long for the Hornets to clinch the team's victory as the first three singles matches ended in favor of K. De Witt was the first to finish at four singles winning his match by default due to injury.

Spencer Navarre made quick work at six singles winning 6-1, 6-2, while Allen Vinson won 6-0, 6-2 at five singles.

Metzler and Hudson also picked up their second wins of the day as Metzler took one singles (1-6, 7-5, 10-3) and Hudson took two (7-5, default-injury).

Next up for the Hornets is a trip to Emory University tomorrow afternoon. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m.
