Men's Tennis sweeps Alma in MIAA opener

ALMA, Mich. - The No. 34 Kalamazoo College men's tennis team won it's Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association opener 9-0 at Alma on Tuesday.

Kalamazoo swept the three doubles points before winning all six singles matches in straight sets.

Branden Metzler and Elan Dantus won 8-1 at one doubles while Robert Hudson and Eric De Witt won 8-3 at two. Ricardo DelOlmo-Parrado and Allen Vinson won 8-0 at three.

Metzler was first off the court in singles with a 6-1, 6-0 win at one. Hudson followed with a 6-0, 6-2 win at two.

Dantus won 6-2, 6-3 at three singles while De Witt won 6-3, 6-1 at four. Spencer Navarre won 6-2, 6-2 at five singles while Skyler Norgaard won 6-0, 6-3 at six.

Kalamazoo (9-3, 1-0) is scheduled to face Albion at home next Wednesday, April 13 at 4 p.m.
