ANGOLA, Ind. – The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team improved to 4-0 in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Saturday afternoon as the Hornets swept the hosts from Trine, 9-0.
Kalamazoo lost just a single game in the three doubles matches as Brandon Metzler and Elan Dantus won 8-0 at one doubles, Robert Hudson and Eric De Witt won 8-1 at two doubles and Ricardo DelOlmo-Parrado and Guillermo Dominguez won 8-0 at three doubles.
The Hornets continued to make quick work of the Thunder in the singles matches as well.
Metzler, who's ranked No. 18 nationally at singles, won 6-0, 6-1 at one singles while Hudson went 6-0, 6-2 at two singles.
Dantus and De Witt also ended their days going 2-0 with Dantus going 6-0, 6-1 at three singles and De Witt going 6-0, 6-0 at four singles.
Allen Vinson went 6-1, 6-2 at five singles and Spencer Navarre went 6-2, 6-1 at six singles.
Kalamazoo will take a quick break from MIAA action as they travel to Gustavus Adolphus tomorrow.
