CLEVELAND, Ohio - The No. 35 Kalamazoo College men's tennis team was defeated 5-1 by No. 17 Kenyon College in the second round of the NCAA III Championships on Saturday.

Kenyon's three doubles victories proved to be too much for the Hornets to overcome in their 41st consecutive NCAA III Championships appearance.

Senior Robert Hudson earned Kalamazoo's only point with a 6-2, 6-4 win at two singles.

Elan Dantus and Allen Vinson had won the first set at three and five singles, respectively.

Kalamazoo finishes its season with a record of 19-5 after winning its 78th consecutive MIAA championship with a 7-0 league record.

Branden Metzler will compete in the NCAA III Singles Championships May 26-28 at Kalamazoo College.
