Men's Tennis falls to No. 40 TCNJ

EWING TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Kicking off a three-match spring break trip Tuesday afternoon, the No. 18 Kalamazoo College men's tennis team lost a tough battle with the No. 40 College of New Jersey.

The Hornets found themselves in a 3-0 hole after the doubles matches but battled hard in the singles, nearly coming away with a win.

Branden Metzler took care of business at one singles winning 6-2, 7-6 while Eric De Witt earned a comeback victory at three singles. He dropped the first set 3-6, but took the final two 6-4, 6-4.

Also recording wins for Kalamazoo were Elan Dantus (6-1, 6-2) at five singles and Allen Vinson (6-4, 6-3) at six singles.

Noah Karoub pushed his match to three sets but ultimately fell 1-6, 6-3, 1-6.

The Hornets will look to rebound tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Haverford College. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
